Obama Opens Up About Being First Black President

President Barack Obama made history when he was elected in 2008 as America's first African American President. Though President Obama never hoped to eradicate all racism with his election into office no one expected that race relations would get worse, yet they did. Now that Obama is preparing to leave the White House he reflects on why so many opposed him during his Presidency. President Obama says those opposed to him because of his race were on the political fringe. He believes Republicans fought against him so hard because of policy.
